The Ohio technical school system has many campuses throughout the state, and each campus teaches professional trades that are marketable to employers. Because there are different industries in different parts of Ohio, Ohio tech degree programs differ slightly from region to region. For this reason, you'll need to research the schools close to you to determine whether their programs will work for you.
Typically, many Ohio tech degree programs offer two year associate degrees in any number of areas. These two year programs are designed to teach students exactly what they need to know to work in certain industries. This associate degree educational approach is different from the educational approach of a liberal arts college. Liberal arts schools tend to require students to take courses outside of their majors in order to round out their educations. This supposedly helps them develop analytical skills, but generally means that those students need to spend more time in schools.
